With multiple locations across the country, the Counter Culture Training Facilities function as a classroom for coffee education as well as unique, flexible meeting places for partners and staff. We worked with Counter Culture to design training spaces in each city that reflect the unique character and culture of the neighborhood while retaining the DNA of the brand.

LOS ANGELES, CA: Counter Culture Coffee’s newest center is the first in Southern California and an integral part of the company’s West Coast expansion. Located in a streamlined Art Deco building from the 1940s facing Silverlake’s “triangle park” the building has been re-vamped to maintain its eclectic charm and open itself up to the community through the addition of an expansive deck and drought tolerant garden.

MIAMI, FL: The Miami training center explores bold and playful pops of color which echo the vibrant Miami art landscape.

DALLAS, TX: Counter Culture’s Dallas training center embraces the area’s manufacturing past and the light and shadow of wide open Texas landscapes. A series of framed views pair with reflective, translucent, and visually textured materials to create a calming and flexible social work space.

WASHINGTON D.C.: In D.C., we desaturated the Counter Culture palette. At this location, we took a subtle take on the design language, retaining the graphic textures but leaning into the metropolitan nature of the city.
