Location: “The Gulch,” Nashville, TNLittle Octopus is an extension of the namesake brand started at Pop, offering customers a sophisticated, richly textured update of the Nashville favorite. We looked to old school Miami for inspiration, equipping the space with flora, linen, and stained sherbet colored glass. Transforming the space meant taking it out of the dark: exchanging the heavy opaque façade with a wide expanse of glass that glows from within, as well as lifting and puncturing the ceiling to let light in. Little Octopus echoes a longing for shore break, emphasized by pops of coral and translucent layers.

Repeat Client
Otaku Ramen blends inspiration from the neon signage of Nashville to street noodle carts in Tokyo together in a space which encourages connection on an intimate scale. Wabi-Sabi textures intersperse with a graphic novel inspired color palette. Subtle divisions and movement have been created throughout the space inspired by manga line drawings and the attention to detail in Japanese cooking. The whiskey bar is a refined take on our favorite tiny hidden alley bars in Kyoto, filled with oddities and texture worn over time.
