Colada Shop brings people together by transporting them into a space where conversation is flowing, strong coffee is brewed, food & cocktails are made with the flare of Cuban flavor and life. For the flagship location at the Wharf in DC we embraced this ethos and created a lively spot where the colors are as vibrant as the flavors. Colada walks a beautiful line between a warm and inviting neighborhood shop and a departure from the ordinary world. Through the use of texture & intense color mixed with plant life and natural materials we created a visually warm and inviting tropical space that enhances the experience of Cuban food and hospitality. The incorporation of a custom colored automatic storefront system along the pedestrian street allows the vivacious space to spill out and seamlessly connect to the outdoors.

Using this space as a model to clarify and solidify the visual experience of the brand we were able to bring a new vibrance and solidarity of design to the Colada Shop brand helping to propel their expansion in different neighborhoods within and surrounding the DC area and beyond.
