stomping grounds

D,B was invited by Dezeen + Adidas Originals to create a unique conceptual building based on the story behind the P.O.D. System shoe launched in 2018. The only direction given was that that the architecture concept responds to the P.O.D. System Maxim: “Great alone, better together”.

In response we created “Stomping Grounds” a new kind of social space. The park comprises a series of architectural pavilions intended to host different activities which when combined in unusual ways we encourage people to use the space in new ways. Combining a skate board ramp, pool & performance stage there is opportunity for choreographed events of skateboarding and dance, or the Philharmonic could play with swim choreography happening in the pool below.
